Christmas/New Years

This year we did our first ever christmas in Vermillion. It was great because I got to hang out with Sam alot and even got to go to two extra Christmas parties (both were Sam's family). Christmas day we woke up at Sam's and did gifts between the five of us (her mom, dad, sister, sam and me). Then went to Christine's for afternoon lunch and then LOTS OF PRESENTS. It may have been because there wer way to many of us in a tiny living room but it seemed like there were presents and toys and wrapping everywhere, which made it alot of fun. After Xmas Sam came back to Rapid with me (in her new car, a 2008 Pontiac G6, which we got for a killer deal) we did New Years at mom and dads with just the four of us. Sam and mom of course made it until way to late in the morning for me and dad. Sadly Sam had to leave to go back to Vermillion to work before returning to Ankeny for school.

Funny story about the buns. So we didn't realize you were supposed to let them rise for so long, so Andrew thought that if you covered them and put them in the oven at a low temp it would speed up the yeast and they would rise faster and we could eat them with our meal. But we kinda forgot about them and left them in for too long. Long story short these rose PLENTY and turned out alright because they were pretty fluffy.
